Well, today is the first day of my diet. To start things off I am sick with a cold..Doesn't help my positive attitude I have had about dieting. But, a cold is not going to stop me from starting today, but the cereal I ate sure might have. I ate 3/4 c. of high protien cereal, with 1/2 no fat milk..nothing like having a little cardboard in water for breakfast! I normally don't eat breakfast, I told the dr. that yesterday, and she said, 85% of obese people do not eat breakfast. That people think "fat" people sit around and eat all day, and that's not the case at all. It's when we eat and how much we eat. For instance, I don't eat breakfast, and I barely eat lunch, but I eat a ton for dinner. Which dinner should be my lightest meal of the day. I now have to eat 5 times a day, a good breakfast with high protein, a healthy snack before lunch, a good portion at lunch, a snack between lunch and dinner, then a light dinner.
I have to stick to a 1200 calorie diet, with 25 grams a fat..but I am going to try and do only 10 grams of fat. My weight loss goal is losing 90 lbs! I know I can do this, I am ready to do this, even if it means living off cardboard for the rest of my life!
Yesterday, they put me on this machine, and it showed how much my right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg..ect.. weighs..What got me was my booty..They actually handed me a print out of how much my BUTT weighs...a whopping 67 lbs! That's a whole new meaning to "Baby got back" I have always have had a big ol' booty, or a "bubble butt" what everyone in the family used to say! I love having a booty, but a 67 lb booty...no thanks! lol
I am trying to have a postive attitude about going into this diet, which so far so good, but it is only day 1. I am really looking forward to my weightloss adventure, and proving not just to myself but to others that I can do this. I want to be healthy for my kids, and my husband. I want them to be proud of me! So, here is to day one! Time to head to the gym!
Day 1
I have had:
3/4 c. Special K Protien Plus
1/2 c. 1% Milk
Cantaloupe
Lean Cusine Cheese Pizza
1/2 c. apple sauce
1 chicken taco w/ baked chicken, fatfree beans, and low fat swiss cheese
total of 1210 calories and 19 grams of fat..
I did work out this morning, and plan on going again tonight at some point...I went 10 over on my calories...oops!
